Last night was IM gaming night, so no writing work got done. That didn't stop me from stressing about the new direction I'm taking in Angel Odyssey. I'm still thinking about chapter 1 and 2 and how their pace differs from the new chapters 3,4 5,and 6. My homework tonight is to look at the first 10% of several fantasy novels I think are great.
One of the writers in my online writing group, Leisha Maw, has a blog as well. (http://www.leishamaw.blogspot.com/) She updates it at least twice a week, sometimes more. She's a writer to watch. I've had the privilege to read some of her first novel and try to offer critiques. I say 'try' because her work is very polished with an appealing main character and some very awesome supporting characters as well. SHE doesn't seem to have a problem with pacing and getting her plot into gear. So check out her blog and when she gets a book contract, check out her novel as well.
