I did two drafts of a book synopsis last night. The required length is 1000 words or less. I either need a lot less or a lot more than that to do it right, it seems. The first draft was WAY too in depth for 1000 words. The second draft, I got close and then went back trying to cut a couple hundred words out of it.
Then I went over chapter 1 and 2, trying to cut about a thousand words out. Because apparently the length requirement for Norwescon's writing workshop is 10000 words INCLUDING the synopsis. So not happy. I was so stressed by neck locked up. And there's only one cure for a stiff neck. Unfortunately, the wife wasn't feeling well, so that'll have to wait.
Oy. I still have to go over chapter 2 tonight in the hopes that I can cut 800 words from it. If I can't, I may just have to submit chapter 1 by itself. Which would suck since I think chapter 1 belong together.
Head hurts. I'll try to get chapter 2 done tonight, if I can't cut the 800 words, then...I don't know. I'll let you know.
