I got some very positive feedback on chapter seven over the weekend. That's encouraging. Chapter seven is an 'action' chapter. I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't have an action scene every other chapter but then I'd be like one of those romance novels where the writer is required to put a sex scene in every other chapter. (or is it every other page. Sometimes I wonder and yes I do read romance novels now and again. Got to look at other genres besides fantasy/Sci fi)
Not enough got done on Friday, I was doing novel and story critiques for writing groups. I am anxious to get back to work. My goals for this week are: final (ha!) polish on chapter 1 and 2. Write story synopsis. Send both to Norwescon writer's workshop. Continue with revised chapters of forth draft with an eye towards hitting the Grange encounter at my 10% mark.
Weekends are hard for me. I feel like I should be writing but I also need to spend time with the wife, that's kind of the deal I have with her. Ah well, nothing new for writer's there. Still, it'll be good to get back into the 'Throne of Writing'(tm)
