Ok, now that was a more serious break from writing. I hope everyone had a good weekend celebrating Independence Day. I sincerely hope I don't go three days in a row without writing for a long time. Well, actually I did do a lot of writing yesterday, it was just IM gaming writing and not novel-writing.
Yep, back to my old schedule. Gaming twice a week, church Tuesday nights, writing Wednesday, Thursday and whatever time I can steal over the weekend. I hate to say it but when I look at my weekly schedule, I'd rather be writing than doing almost all of that stuff. Hmmm.
I finished Jacob and Jael's leavetaking scene. It wasn't easy for either of them but I was proud of Jacob. He handled it like a man and not like a boy, which is the right way of doing things. As soon as Jael is gone, once the shock has worn off, he's planning how to go after her.
This is the one part of the book I wasn't sure how to write. Battle scenes, no problem. Relationship stuff, got it down. But writing a chapter that's all plots and intrigue...that I haven't done. So, big goals for the next chapter.
One last note, my wife was reading the first draft last night and she noticed that I had Chapter 17 numbered twice. So it looks like Angel Odyssey is 36, possibly 37 chapters. My, how they grow.
