Chapter 7, Ahh that's more like it

Chapter 7 revision went well.  It read well, aloud and again I'm finding very few typos.  I guess I'll need to rely on my critique group readers to find them and I'm sure they will.  Chapter 7 has a good confrontation scene but I want to actually change some of the pre-action events on next revision.  I want everyone to sit down and share a little bit before Jacob and Jael go off.  As currently written, the sit down dinner never happens.  Everyone gets ready to eat and then they come for Jael.  That's not a bad way to go, I think, narrative.  But I think it might be a better, stronger scene if I try to be less 'cute' about play against people's expectations and actually have everyone sit down and enjoy each other for a moment.  It makes the confrontation and the parting all the more poignant, I think.  We'll see how it feels on rewrite, later.
  I'm still not sure what to do about chapter 6.  It needs to be cut down or cut in two.  However, if I cut it in two, it throws off the rhythm of the whole book.  For almost all of the novel I'm alternating POVs each chapter: Jacob, Jael and then Jacob again.  If I break Chapter 6 in two, I mess up that flow one way or another.  Troubling.  Or maybe I just don't want to go through all the work of re-writing each chapter from the other person's POV (though actaully, if I had a LOT more time, I would mind writing each scene from each person's POV.  It actually might be interesting but I want this 'done' by Oct 25).
  Still, I'm encouraged.  I know the beginning needs work but on the whole, I'm happy with it.
