I got rejected to attend Clarion West. No idea why. The obvious answer is that I didn't measure up and 18 other applicants were better. That stings. No sour grapes, though. I really wanted this and I'm sure it would have helped me.
But it may be a blessing is disguise. I don't have to try find 3~4k for the tuition. I don't have to worry about giving notice or asking for time off from Amazon (I'm really enjoying the job and I'd like to keep it).
So rejection may actually be a good thing. There's always next year. And I'll have another year and another novel or two under my belt by then.
