I’m still pretty happy with how the Grange scene went, though it does fly by pretty fast. Maybe that means I’m doing it right or it may mean I need to draw the confrontation out longer. That’s hard for me to think about though, since my urge is to get Jael and Jacob on the road as fast as possible. (As fast as possible is still sadly over a hundred MS word pages into the book. I’m starting to think there’s something in my brain preventing me from editing it down any more. I guess I’m going to have to trust my subconscious here. That or I’m going to have to re-write everything from scratch and THAT means shelving this book for a year or so. I have another story melting out of my brain. But I digress…)
Tonight is IM gaming night with a new campaign, so no editing work is planned. Possibly no gaming as well unless I can wrap my brain around this new setting. So much to do and so little time and in the meanwhile, the grass in the back yard just grows and grows. Rabble.
