Instead, I edited a couple of short stories and sent them off. Both are fairly short pieces and hopefully exciting, something to catch and hold the reader’s attention and then ending before I overstay my welcome. Both were written during my April ‘30 in 30’ challenge. We will see how they fare. One is off to Asimov’s and one is being tossed to Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Here’s hoping.
Tonight I’m going to try the read-aloud again and hope I get further. Ugh. This editing is killing me. I am aching to start writing the next novel but if I don’t get Angel Odyssey out the door, even if it’s not perfect, I’ll be one of those writers who has a stack of unedited manuscripts. Writing is fun. Editing is hard.
